As a follow-up activity from YouTH Work Matters, we participated in a session at the University of Málaga with academic tutors, professional tutors and Pedagogy students. We reflected on how to make practicum experiences more meaningful and supportive, highlighting the importance of emotional wellbeing and the role of tutors in accompanying students throughout their learning process. We also shared some of the key learnings from the training course and finished the activity by planting trees together in a new campus space dedicated to nature, wellbeing and community care. This symbolic and practical activity encouraged reflection on the value of alternative learning environments, wellbeing, and mutual care within the educational community. It also reinforced the idea that caring for ourselves, others, and our environment are interconnected dimensions of meaningful educational practice.
